What Mave Is. What It Isn’t.
MAVE IS
- Available at 2am, 3am, any time the question can’t wait
- Trained on the real language of postpartum — the private version, not just the clinical one
- Able to tell you whether something sounds like a reason to call your doctor tomorrow or a pattern thousands of other mothers have felt
- A calm interruption to the spiral when Googling is making it worse
- A place to ask the question that feels too small to call about and too big to ignore
- Informed by AAP and WHO guidelines on newborn health and postpartum recovery
- Honest about what it doesn’t know and when you need a human instead
MAVE IS NOT
- A replacement for your OB, midwife, pediatrician, or therapist
- A diagnosis tool
- A crisis line
- A substitute for emergency care
- A sleep training program, lactation consultant, or parenting advice service
- A companion app or social platform
- Always right — Mave can be wrong, and your instincts about your own body and baby matter
Who it’s for
Mave is built for mothers in the first year postpartum — especially the moments between support systems. The 2am Google spiral. The Sunday afternoon when the pediatrician’s office is closed. The feeling that something is off but you can’t tell if it’s worth texting anyone about.
If you’re a first-time mother navigating what’s normal, Mave is for you.
If you’ve been through this before and something feels different this time, Mave is for you.
If you’re fine but you’d like to be sure, Mave is for you.
When Mave Is Not Enough
Mave is not a crisis service. If you or your baby are in immediate danger, stop and call 911.
